Final Band announced – One Day Remains

From the press release:

Out of the ashes, defying all obstacles in their way One Day Remains is carving out their own destiny and is firmly set on a path to becoming a major hard rock band. The four man band comprises of Michael Naranjo who lends his vocals and guitar skills to the band, Jason Oosthuizen on drums, Donovan Paterson on Bass and Ryan Schnettler on lead guitar and vocals.

One Day Remains credibility skyrocketed when their track Never Say Die was chosen by Super Sport as the theme song for the Vodacom Tri nations. This major breakthrough is from the bands debut album Sins, Convictions & Confessions and displays the band’s hunger and constant intensity in their on stage performances.

The band is constantly evolving and has their SA audience enthralled with their edgy sound. One Day Remains has been invited to perform on air at various radio stations around the country including 5FM’s Band Invasion. They are ready to invade the Coke Zero Fest stage and prove why they are the most talked about band in the Western Cape to date.

ONE DAY REMAINS will perform at the Johannesburg leg of Coca-Cola Zero Fest ONLY, where they will join OASIS, PANIC! AT THE DISCO, SNOW PATROL, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS, DIRTY SKIRT S, ZEBRA & GIRAFFE AND FOTO NA DANS

Sadly, One Day Remains will only play at the Johannesburg event.

  1. The only band in this line-up worth seeing (besides bullet for my valentine). BUT… These dudes are from Cape Town, but they’re only performing in JHB – WTF?

  2. Congrats to “One Day Remains”. Hope the rest of the fest is a disaster.

  3. Wow… so us in JHB get screwed by getting this crap band and Cape Town gets aKING? *Sigh* I should’ve bought tickets for the Cape Town show. At least I’ll have a moment to go take a dump or stand around in line for beer. This is worse than when Cassette was added. They better play first, so that the most minimal people are subjected to this crap.

  4. @Matt – you are a real cock. Bet you suck yourself. One Day Remains is the only decent band in this lineup (except maybe BFMV)

  6. How is One Day Remains better than aKING? They suck. Im tired of people too scared to call out shit s.a. bands when they are, in fact, shit. One Day Remains sucks and Im bummed that we have to listen to them instead of aKING, who are not only a GOOD band, but superior in every way.

And Bullet isn’t the only good band on the line up you stupid little emo-metal head douche.

  7. @Matt – you still seem to be sucking. And hard, by the look of it. If you want to call out shit SA bands, you must first call out shit UK bands, like OFAGSIS! As for your assertion that I am a “stupid little emo-metal head douche”, I’ll have you know that I am a UCT graduate of BCom Hons(IS), and am currently enrolled for an MBA. Where did you graduate, I’m assuming at some technical high school? Or was that an over assumption?

  8. Using terms like “OFAGASIS” makes it difficult for me to even believe you finished high school.

But well done on graduating. I’m sure your mom is very proud of you.

  9. Avoiding the question I see – take that as a yes for a technical high school. (Corroborated by the fact that you quoted me as typing “OFAGASIS” whereas I actually typed “OFAGSIS”.)

  10. You two should grow up and get over your little emo ego’s..Just go on and enjoy the fest as it should be enjoyed.. And if you two really want to, why don’t you meet at the Mosh pit during “One Day Remains” and argue it out.

  12. Why cant aKing play in Jhb too!!! This sucks! We want them as well..

Hey Im allowed to complain about a band if it’s shit, especially if an awesome band like aKING is what i’m missing out on.

I have no emo ego, and I wasn’t the one who started making personal attacks on other posters.

I am going to enjoy cokefest, and I always have been. I’ll just go a bit later and miss One Day Remains, I have Golden Circle tickets so it’s no big problem.
